Summary: usb drive / media player Transcend MP850 not mounted
in graphical mode
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.2
Version: Final
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Hotplug
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: sclifcon@xxxxxxxxx

Overview:
Transcend MP850 configured to work usb mode, detected but not mounted in
graphical mode, in console mode all working as usual, on openSUSE 11.2. On
openSUSE 11.1, without/ and with updates all worked normal in all modes.
Step to reproduce:
Connect device (like Transcend MP850) in graphical mode, in KDE 4.3.1/4.3.3 or
GNOME 2.28
Results:
Device is not mounted in graphical mode, but mounted when connected in console
(text) mode
My hardware:
Mainboard: MSI K9N SLI
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+
Tested on openSUSE 11.2, with KDE 4.3.1 and 4.3.3, GNOME 2.28, xorg-x11
7.4-35.3
When I switch to console (text) (in example tty1: Ctrl+Alt+F1) from graphical
mode, and reconnect my device (Transcend MP850): device is connected normally
(and I don't have in this case error like usb-storage: waiting for device to
settle before scanning ).
Code from file /var/log/messages when I reconnect device:
