http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=562278 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=562278#c0 Summary: yast users ncurses version crashes with a SIGSEGV when starting Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rfno@fietze-home.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=332044) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=332044) y2log User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.3; Linux) KHTML/4.3.4 (like Gecko) SUSE Running "yast users" on the console or an xterm crashes. See attachment yast.png to see the point where it crashes, the strace in yast.trace and of course your y2log. When I start "yast2 users" everything works fine, the graphical version works. Now the funny thing. Trying to debug that I added "set -x" at the top of /sbin/yast and ran it with "yast users > /tmp/yast.stdout 2> /tmp/yast.stderr, and it worked, too! Now I restored the original version of /sbin/yast and tried again. Here the results: Redirect stdout: crash Redirect stderr: works Redirect stdout and sterr: works as well (of course) All cases are repeatable 100%, I tried it quite some times. Reproducible: Always -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
