Summary: Touchpad Tap is disabled in X, and KDE4 has no option
setting to re-enable
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.3
Version: Factory
Platform: All
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: KDE4 Workspace
AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@xxxxxxx
ReportedBy: smaug42@xxxxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.9.0.9)
Gecko/2009041723 Firefox/3.0.9

Touchpad tap was disabled (see bug#554884
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=554884 ) to make X consistent with
Gnome defaults.

There is no Configure Desktop > Mouse option in KDE4 to toggle this back on
for users that prefer touchpad tap (Gnome does have this option). Installing
3rd party apps such as Synaptics to control this is not an acceptable
workaround. (see discussion in bug#554884)

Reproducible: Always
