http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=558865 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=558865#c0 Summary: kget (stock "stable" KDE 4.3.1) crashes lots on right click (like details view of torrent) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: rob.opensuse.linux@googlemail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=329789) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=329789) A saved crash log User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091103 SUSE/3.5.5-3.1 Firefox/3.5.5 Not my best bug report, I didn't get useful stack traces. But kget in stock openSUSE 11.2 (KDE 4.3.1) seems rather buggy and crashy. This was exposed after Net Install of 11.2, whilst downloading the release DVD ISO's via metalink over a few days. Checking what was going on with torrent, by opening up the details of the download group would sometimes provoke a crash. Intended to find simple steps to reproduce, but for seeding purposes have needed to move to ktorrent & transmission. For moment I'm not using kget much so this is best report I'm likely to do. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Download openSUSE DVD ISO via metalink, konqi punts to kget 2.Investigate Torrent file details & generally "use" kget 3.Observe crashes generally using right click for context menu Actual Results: Ocasional stack traces, but with stock "stable" KDE 4.1.3 without debug symbols I don't think they're very useful. Expected Results: Boring solidity. My impression is that KDE-4.3.3 from OBS is much more solid, than the stock "stable" 4.3.1 version. Reviews at Distrowatch & LWN have also mentioned KDE crashes, may be a lot of fixes need to be backported, or our "stable" get bumped to a themed 4.3.3 via update. It really is time for KDE4 to deliver a solid desktop like KDE 1, 2 & 3 did. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
