I did choose a better resolution in the boot menu. Comment #10 proves that you
made the error: If Xorg can detect the proper resolution, and SaX can do it
(comment #0), but the installation program cannot do it, there's something
wrong.
The argument for removing the X11 configuration from YaST was that Xorg can do
it automatically, and the release notes said that you wanted to hear about
problems.
I have no idea why you claim I have not read the manuals and the release notes.
I'm installing S.u.S.E. Linux for 20 years now, there's no need to insult me or
my hardware. As a matter of fact that "old" PC replaced one that was even
older.
