in general: everything else that i was able to test (all kinds of other windows
systems win2k, winxp, win2k3server, winvista, win7, ....) did not have any
trouble at all detecting the flatpanel screen, the native resolution of the
screen and actually using the native resolution and outputting pixels with the
kvm attached and the kvm switch-port being selected to the current testing
hardware/system.


which is of course the thing i am trying to do. i want to boot the machine,
attached to the kvm system, the kvm switch-port being selected and
showing/activating the screen output and the controls (usb) to/from that
system.

so all windows systems on the very same hardware with various kinds of drivers,
standard drivers, newe/older vendor drivers (ati) etc. work fine with this kvm
switch.

only opensuse with radeonhd seems to have problems when the kvm switchport was
active during boot. it seems to work when the switchport wasnt active during
the booting of opensuse but only later after system bootup switching over the
video at the kvm hardware.
