http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=470341 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=470341#c35 --- Comment #35 from andreas bittner <abittner@stud.fh-heilbronn.de> 2009-11-23 15:01:29 UTC --- i am back at opensuse 11.1 x86 for some more testing, this same newest board (radeon hd 4200). right now it seems to use framebuffer driver. i currently have my monitor attached directly to the board, nokvm at the moment. the Xorg logs should be in my latest attachment archive files as well, not logverbose 7 though, is there a way to permanently (config file?) switch to logverbose 7 for a while, so that all attempts (during boot, sax etc...) use the verbose logmode? 11.1 with all online_update(s) applied doesnt seem to be capable of detecting/using the then-current radeonhd driver for this radeon hd 4200 chipset. at the moment i have: xorg-x11-driver-video-radeonhd-1.2.4_121202_4e89726-2.1.1 but sax2 and xorg.conf and everywhere it says that its using vesa/framebuffer... Section "Device" BoardName "Framebuffer Graphics" Driver "fbdev" Identifier "Device[0]" VendorName "VESA" EndSection --------------- will try that factory radeonhd driver now, and then later provide some logverbose and then maybe i can start trials with the older mainboard with that radeon hd 3200 chipset. greets. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
