When trying to start jackd:
JACK is running in realtime mode, but you are not allowed to use realtime
scheduling.
After applying these changes, please re-login in order for them to take effect.
You don't appear to have a sane system configuration. It is very likely that
you
encounter xruns. Please apply all the above mentioned changes and start jack
again!"
Is it asking me to completely log out of every shell, X, etc before I can use
it?
When logged in as root
Ardour and jackd is working but I get the message :
Your system has a limit for maximum amount of locked memory!
---This might cause Ardour to run out of memory before your system runs out of
memory. You can view the memory limit with ---'ulimit -l', and it is normally
controlled by /etc/security/limits.conf
"Ulimit -l" returns a value of 64.
