I have the following network card D-LINK DGE-530T revision 11. It gets detected
by openSUSE 11.2, however it doesn't work. You can give it a static IP address
and it will look connected but no data transmission.
I did some research on this card and it seems that they need kernel module
sk98lin for Marvell Yukon 88E8001 chipset. It can be downloaded from:
http://www.skd.de/e_en/support/driver_searchresults.html?navanchor=10013&term=typ.treiber+bs.Linux+produkt.SK-9821V2.0&produkt=produkt.SK-9821V2.0&typ=typ.treiber&system=bs.Linux
But I don't think that many people will know how to install this and will it
work after that.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Fresh install or live CD
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Network not working.
Expected Results:
Network not working.
