As I expected, this is a conflict with ACPI resources. So this is essentially
the same problem as in bug #539003. See this lm-sensors FAQ entry for the

Not much I can do, it's either a BIOS issue (requesting I/O ports it doesn't
actually use) or upstream kernel work is needed to support a custom ACPI API
your BIOS might be implementing.
I also agree that it is a usability problem that sensors-detect tells you to
load a driver and loading that driver doesn't actually work. The problem is
that the ACPI resources are not visible from user-space. I'll discuss this
upstream with the ACPI kernel developers.
