Summary: Uninstallable providers in YaST2 Image Creator trying
to build KDE LiveCD
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.2
Version: Final
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: YaST2
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: znmeb@xxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: jsrain@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: ---
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4)
Gecko/20091016 SUSE/3.5.4-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.4
I'm trying to build a custom KDE-based LiveCD. The plan is to build a base
openSUSE 11.2 KDE LiveCD, then subtract packages I don't want and add packages
I do want. The first step is to reproduce the base KDE LiveCD.
See "Steps to Reproduce" below for the first error I encountered. There are
more after I get past this one - should I submit those as separate bugs, or
just tack them on to this one as I encounter them?
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start the YaST2 Image Creator. Use the defaults and choose a new image.
Select 32-bit build.
2. Add repositories http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.2/repo/oss/
and http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.2/
3. Move to the Package Addition menu. Select the KDE desktop.
4. Press the "Change" button.
5. Select KDE
Actual Results:
It said "uninstallable providers". Here's the output from the "Expert" option:
#### YaST2 conflicts list - generated 2009-11-12 19:56:22 ####
pattern:kde4-11.2-20.22.1.i586 requires pattern:kde4_basis, but this
requirement
cannot be provided
uninstallable providers: pattern:kde4_basis-11.2-20.22.1.i586[repo-oss]
[ ] do not install suse-build-key-1.0-909.5.noarch
[ ] do not install pattern:kde4-11.2-20.22.1.i586
[ ] break kde4 by ignoring some of its dependencies
#### YaST2 conflicts list END ###
znmeb@AlgoCompSynth:~/Documents>
If I select the first option, "do not install suse-build-key-1.0-909.5.noarch",
the build continues.
Expected Results:
I expected no conflicts.
