Hard to reproduce, but sometimes, when resuming after suspend from ram, I get a
black screen with a mouse cursor, instead of a screenlock box.

I can move the mouse cursor and it changes shape, as if it would react to
underlying windows. But I could not yet trigger anything. 
Logging in from text console, 
  ps -ef | grep lock 
shows nothing -- so I cannot kill anything. 

My only solution currently is kill x-session.
