[Bug 549937] Can't install updates with KDE Updater Applet (PackageKit failed to obtain authentification)

For whatever reason, no pattern was installed at all...
I just chose the KDE base pattern for installation, which caused several other
patterns to be installed. It also selected some packages for installation - the
most relevant seems to be polkit-gnome.
This leaves the question _why_ I had no patterns installed. System history is:
11.1 updated to several 11.2 milestones, usually using zypper dup. However, I
had one case where a milestone update using zypper dup broke my system (don't
remember the details, sorry) which I had to repair by booting an install media.
That's part 1 of my answer. Just installing polkit-gnome did not fix this bug,
but it might need a relogin/reboot which I'll do later and then report back.
