This crash occurs both when Automatic Configuration is Enabled and when it is not. When Automatic Configuration is disabled, the crash most likely occurs after clicking 'Next' on the Hostname, but occasionally will occur during the 'Network Configuration' hardware detection, and on one occasion occurred only after pressing 'Next' on the Network Configuration screen. When Automatic Configuration is enabled, the crash occurs during the Automatic Configuration stage of the install. As soon as Yast crashes, the half installed installation of openSUSE attempts to boot, leading to a login screen that is without any usernames (when using a GNOME installation) This crash has been reproduced on 3.0.8 Virtualbox on both an openSUSE 11.1 and Windows 7 Host. The crash occurs both when the install is done from an ISO file, or from a physical CD media. In both cases, the Physical and the ISO test have valid gpg and md5 checksums. This crash does not occur with the 32-bit installation media. The same x86-64 media was used to test the installation on 'Real' hardware. On real hardware, the Crashes did not occur, strongly suggesting the issue is only when installing on Virtualbox Guests. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install openSUSE 11.2 RC2 x86-64 on a x64 Virtualbox guest instance 2. Allow installation to progress to the Hostname/Network configuration or Automatic configuration stage 3.
