http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=549426
Summary: Incomplete 'My Documents' Path in OpenOffice.org under
KDE4
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.2
Version: RC 1
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2
Status: NEW
Severity: Minor
Priority: P5 - None
Component: OpenOffice.org
AssignedTo: bnc-team-ooo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: r.seete@xxxxxxxxx
QAContact: kyu@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: ---
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux; en-GB) AppleWebKit/527+ (KHTML,
like Gecko, Safari/419.3) rekonq
OpenOffice.org reports the user's "My Documents" path as '/home/<username>/'
even though openSUSE has a "Documents" folder by default in a user's home.
This only happens when installing a KDE 4 desktop however. When installing
GNOME this behaviour does not exist. The behaviour is consistent if you add
the other desktop however. So if you install KDE from the DVD and then add
GNOME, both will have the too short path. If you you install GNOME first and
then add KDE, then both will have the correct path of
'/home/<username>/Documents'.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install default KDE desktop from DVD
2. Open OpenOffice.org
3. Check path of "My Documents" under Tools->Options->Paths
Actual Results:
Path is missing the "/Documents" part.
Expected Results:
Path has full address like under GNOME
