http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=548009 Summary: Yast partitioner fails when creating encripted partitions on usb disk Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: carlos.e.r@opensuse.org QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=322995) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=322995) partitioner failure screenshot It gave error -1007 -- see photo attached later. I was creating sdd1 as an encrypted XFS primary partition, and the rest was to be a logical partition, xfs, non encrypted. It created proper entries in /etc/crypttab, but not on fstab. partition is not mountable, after correcting both files: minas-tirith:~ # rccrypto start cr_mm_min-rimmon_1 Please enter passphrase for cr_mm_min-rimmon_1: Enter LUKS passphrase for /dev/disk/by-id/usb-ST350041_8AS_522Please enter passphrase for cr_mm_min-rimmon_1: Please enter passphrase for cr_mm_min-rimmon_1: key slot 0 unlocked. Command successful. mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/mapper/cr_mm_min-rimmon_1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so cr_mm_min-rimmon_1... failed minas-tirith:~ # minas-tirith:~ # file -s /dev/mapper/cr_mm_min-rimmon_1 /dev/mapper/cr_mm_min-rimmon_1: Sendmail frozen configuration - version \312'\3628\366-$.\351\302\306\353\334\362p\037o8)\226 So I have to do recreate the partition manually. Sigh. I'll add logs later, time permitting. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
