http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=548003 Summary: Invoking yast from krunner does not work Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: RC 1 Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: zinser@zinser.no-ip.info QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.22) Gecko/20090605 SUSE/1.1.17-1.1 SeaMonkey/1.1.17 Clean installation of 11.2 RC1. Logged in to kde4 desktop as root. Invoke krunner by right click on desktop -> Run command Typing yast and pressing return will change the cursor to a bouncing yast icon and the task bar contains a entry for yast, but no window will open. What will work is selecting Yast from the list of applications popping up below the text entry field. What does not work (same behaviour as above) is selecting "Run Yast" from the list of applications. If there is already a yast window open, typing the command in krunner will sucessfully open a second yast window. Selecting "Run Yast" from the list still fails. Since the tests have been performed with the root account permissions should not be the problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Invoke krunner 2. Type yast / return Actual Results: Temporary bouncing icon/task manager entry, no window Expected Results: Yast window opens -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
