Hi, I've got the exact same error on an Asus X5DIJ laptop except the X server
version data that has the number 10604000. I have updated to the latest after
M8 (oct. 12), so it should not be due to old packages.(?) I include my results
too, if it can give some hint.
~> xprop -root | grep XKB
_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "evdev", "evdev", "se", "", ""
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "evdev", "evdev", "se", "", ""
~> gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd
layouts = [sv-latin1]
options = [grp grp:shifts_toggle]
model =
~> cat .dmrc
[Desktop]
Session=gnome
Language=sv_SE.UTF-8
Layout=sv-latin1
~> rpm -q gnome-settings-daemon
gnome-settings-daemon-2.27.92-1.1.x86_64
~> rpm -q gdm
gdm-2.27.90-2.5.x86_64
I have switched between autologin/login with password and login without
password, and I still have the same error.
I also have problems halting the system if that problem can be related. I need
to choose to shot down computer twize before it goes down.
Best regards,
freefox
