I have configured my cups printer-server via ServerName in
/etc/cups/client.conf
and printing from ooffice and console (lpr) works well.
But the printer is not shown in the printer-dialog of firefox and evince.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. configure network printer
2. open firefox
3. choose file/print
Actual Results:  
printer does not show up. Only "print to file" works.

Expected Results:  
network-printer should be selectable
