Weird, I thought I replied here.
Long time ago I did fix for GNOME session, so that it will ask user to save the
opened documents and allow to cancel the logout/shutdown as well. It was common
way at that time in GNOME. Not sure, that might have changed meanwhile.
If it works OK without the patch, I would just drop it.
