Confoguration of grub from y2-bootloader is valid (correct proposal) but
installation hangs on installation package grub.rpm not on calling grub to
install stage1 etc. (it is from logs)

Adding:

   <global>
    <generic_mbr>true</generic_mbr>
   </global>

has not effect because it was also proposed by y2-bootloader.

Torsten it seems that it is for you. ;-) Maybe there is problem with selecting
packages by autoyast but frozen installation of RPM package is not problem of
y2-bootloader.
