Context:
Software: Build 307/M8 IA32, NET iso, repo=factory.
Hardware - Proliant server, dual Intel PIII, 256M RAM.
Installation via SSH+HTTP.
Installation on 2-drive RAID5 SCSI array behind Compaq Smart-Array.
More details:
after starting the installation system, but before running yast, I had no
problems running fdisk, creating filesystems, creating swap space, mounting a
file system and creating a file on it. Only after starting yast do the
problems begin and the controller/disks "dies" in a hail of i/o errors.
