Tried openSuSE-11.2RC6: The problem with the througput seems to be solved there
- I'm getting up to 110MBit in iperf when I'm close to the AP. Performance
degrades rapidly with distance, though.

One strangeness seems to remain, albeit probably not with the driver, but
with the wireless tools: If I run "iwconfig wlan0" I never see bit rates higher
than 60MBits - full speed as described above is displayed as "Bit Rate = 0
kb/s" - same as a connection that is temporarily not available.

Maybe the wireless tools need to be updated for 11.2, too?
