Currently, in Ubuntu, Mandriva Linux and Fedora, VirtualBox works out of the box (without difficult configurations as in openSUSE) after you (or the distro, automatically) install DKMS package.
¿Is possible to include DKMS also in openSUSE or make a easy way to install VirtualBox? Is very dificult run VirtualBox without problems in openSUSE.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install VirtualBox with Yast. 2.Run it. 3.Make a virtual machine. 4.Run it the virtual machine. 5. It doesn't run. It show a similar message to "If you are in Ubuntu, Fedora or Mandriva Linux, install DKMS package. If not, contact to your system admin."
you don't need to compile kernel modules for virtualbox, they are already prepared in package virtualbox-ose-kmp-* install it and try restart virtualbox : /etc/init.d/vboxdrv restart if you hit error post it please -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
