It is a hardware defect this time. I am sorry for bothering you with this.

My built-in mic has a loose contact. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I tested it under Windows again and it did not work either, until I flicked my
fingers hard against the casing. I could then reproduce it under Linux as well.


I guess that I should also disable the multimedia:audio:KMP repository now,
right?!
