Even with radeon.modeset=0 as boot parameter, the installation breaks during the configuration phase after the first reboot, i.e. the system is running, but there is no video output at all. Switching virtual consols does not restore video output. Solution: grab radeonhd source, compile & replace radeonhd_drv.la and radeonhd_drv.so with the new ones I used this version of radeonhd (II) RADEONHD: version 1.2.5, built from git branch master, commit 865215c8 + changes Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install openSuse 11.2 milestone 5 with radeon.modeset=0 2. System will lock-up after first reboot 3. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
