Summary: Drag and drop target in bookmark sidebar not at mouse
pointer
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.2
Version: Factory
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Firefox
AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: rkrell@xxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx
Found By: ---
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2)
Gecko/20090730 SUSE/3.5.2-110.2 Firefox/3.5.2
Assuming having opened the bookmarks sidebar in Firefox 3.5.2. If I try to drag
and drop the current URL from the navigation toolbar to the bookmarks sidebar
the target for inserting this bookmark is shown far above the mouse pointer.
Even more, this way it is not possible to drag'n'drop it at the end of a
bookmarks list in the sidebar reaching to the bottom of the FF window.
This was definitely introduced with FF 3.5.2.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the bookmarks sidebar in FF by activating View - Sidebar - Bookmarks
2. Open a website
3. Drag the URL of the current website from the navigation toolbar URL icon to
the bookmarks sidebar
Actual Results:
The drop target (this thin bar along with moving the mouse between two
bookmarks) is shown and inserted a couple of line above the mouse pointer.
Expected Results:
The drop target should be exactly at the mouse pointer.
