I've updated ekiga from
repository
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/Factory/openSUSE_11.1/
to the version:
- ekiga 3.2.5-10.4
- opal 3.6.4-9.1
- libpt2 2.6.4-9-1

But now, it stops with a segmentation fault.

however, it works in VirtualBox with
openSUSE 11.1 32-bit
openSUSE 11.2 64-bit LiveCD Milestone 4

Two ideas:
There is something wrong with HalManager_dbus, because this line is missing.
(in VirtualBox this would be the next line)

or an error in libglib, because /var/log/messages shows:
kernel: ekiga[6369]: segfault at 9 ip 00007f4bca08bf3c sp 00007fffc0800fb0
error 4 in libglib-2.0.so.0.1800.2[7f4bca034000+c3000]
