Lets say a user wants to install the debuginfo packages for KDE apps to be able to create useful backtraces, instead of having to go down the list in YaST selecting the packages one by one or installing the debuginfo package for every installed program possibly wasting space the user will be able to get only the packages he/she needs quickly and painlessly.
