alsa-info.sh for V1.0.20-git20090730
Here is the alsa-info.txt as requested. Also, I updated again beforehand, but
unsurprisingly there was no noticeable change.
I also checked alsamixer versus KMix. alsamixer shows: Master, Headphone, PCM,
Front, ...
So KMix is missing PCM entirely and the first "Front" corresponds to
alsamixer's "Master", while the second "Front" corresponds to alsamixer's
"Front" at 4th position, controlling the built-in speakers. I apologize for not
using alsamixer in the first place. I shall only report about alsamixer in the
future from now on. Sorry!
Still no slider nor switch to enable the speakers connected to the docking
station. I also verified once more today that they still work fine with Windows
Vista 32bit, without any unplugging/undocking between booting to the other OS.
Many thanks for the explanations! I just want to be as helpful as possible, but
I feel so unfamiliar with all this.
