I did the test both with and without headphones and tried it as root. Should I use pasuspender by first running: pasuspender aplay and then the rest of the command or just everything in one line? If I run it in one line I get an error saying that -D is not recognized.
Call in a line. In the case of error, run like % pasuspender -- aplay -Dplughw -vv /usr/share/sounds/alsa.test.wav
I then edited the /modprobe.d/sound file, restarted alsa and did everything again. Here is how my current sound file looks like after adding ,model=dell-m6:
options snd slots=snd-hda-intel,snd-hda-intel,model=dell-m6
No, this is a wrong place. It's options for the module "snd", not "snd-hda-inteL'. Remove ",model=dell-m6" again. Instead, create a new line with options snd-hda-intel model=dell-m6 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
