http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=521358 Summary: Can't install without HAL Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: 64bit OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mhrusecky@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- I tried to install Factory. I need it to test few things, so all I need is a really minimal installation. During package selection some conflicts appeared... I tried to solve them and one of them was some missing libraries for hal. As I don't need hal for anything in this particular case (I usually don't need it on my desktop either) I tried to solve this conflict by not installing HAL, but every time I check kernel it tries to install HAL. I checked spec files for both kernel and HAL and I don't see any reason why. I usually don't care much about installing packages I don't need, but this time that package prevents me from whole installation (I know that Factory might be broken, but being prevented from installation by broken package I don't need anyway...). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
