That's being a little unfair. I certainly did not "hammer" you with bugreports (plural).
Sorry for overreacting, but it feels like being pushed to get a bug report about a new version just a few hours after it was released.
1. two notify via the official mechanism that appropriate party or parties of the new (major) version
I am following upstream development for the packages that I am maintaining, so I normally already know when a new version is out. In addition to that we have some automated mechanisms that notify package maintainers of new versions.
2. to try to see if 8.4 could get into openSUSE 11.2, given the other new and exciting technologies that will also be present, postgresql 8.4 gives openSUSE 11.2 that much more "punch".
We will definitely have it on 11.2.
I see it's of low priority, enhancement, and is also closed. Does that mean that it's already done or that it will not be done?
This just means that I would have done it anyways during the next days, even without this bug report, but as we are not even close to the 11.2 feature freeze, it is not a high priority task. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
