http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=516605 Summary: kbluetooth4 has bad usability Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Hotplug AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: thorsten.staerk@sap.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060200 SUSE/3.0.11-0.1.1 Firefox/3.0.11 I have a bluetooth mobile phone and I want to access its pictures from my computer. With SUSE 10.0 this was easy: start konqueror and enter bluetooth:/// into the address bar. With SUSE 11.1 is has become very user-unfriendly. Here is what I do: 1. I try konqueror and enter bluetooth:///. I get "Protocol not supported bluetooth" 2. I start kbluetooth4 from konsole. Instead of helping me what I can do with it, it writes "AGENT registered" 3. I discover that kbluetooth4 put a tray icon into the systray and click on it 4. From 6 menu items only one makes sense: Device Manager 5. Starting the device manager, I see an empty window. No information what I could do with it 6. I click on New 7. A "wizard" tells me it would help to set up my bluetooth devices 8. I do the completely useless step to click next. What did the UI designer think when he put that in? 9. I choose "Input Device" as it is the only possible choice 10. I see my Nokia 6230 in the device list (I think I have paired it 3 hours ago when I started to try to transfer a picture) 11. I select my Nokia and click on next 12. I get a "summary": "Sorry your Bluetooth Device does not support input Service" 13. Has that program understood I just want to transfer a file? 14. I give up is this in your sense? Why don't you explain what you can do with a program? What is "input Service" and why does my device need to support it? Please improve.
