However the vast majority of the time that a user opens the SLAB they're going to be wanting to launch an application. So the menu should default to opening on the Applications tab every time it's opened. Better still, there should be a preference to set whether to always open on the Applications tab or whether to keep the current behaviour. At the very least the menu should default to Applications the first time it's opened after log in because it's very unintuitive it it opens to Places or Documents the first time it's opened. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open SLAB 2. Click on Places tab 3. Close SLAB. 4 .Open SLAB. Actual Results: Places tab is still open.
