FWIW fresh 64bit 11.1 install in kvm (KDE 4.1+dosbox as only additional package
of course) without as well as with all updates works just fine here (config
written to ~/Documents). When manually messing with that kdeglobals file and
removing the [Path] section the config is written ~ (have to log out and in
again for setting to take effect). So closing as WORKSFORME.
