Also many other error popups have such a button. Did you ever use them? The "Details" buttons should have shown you something like what I found in your y2log: ------------------------------------------------------------------- /usr/bin/lpstat: Unable to connect to server .. DNS fwd/rev mismatch: local host != nil localhost [127.0.0.1] 631 (ipp) : Connection refused .. Cannot access cupsd on 'localhost' ------------------------------------------------------------------- As long as theer is no access to the cupsd on 'localhost' nothing regarding printing and printer setup can work which is perfectly detected by yast2-printer and reported to you in attachment #291430 I think that the most interesting error message is "DNS fwd/rev mismatch: local host != nil" which comes from the command netcat -v -w 1 -z localhost 631 This is neitgher a yast2-printer bug nor a printing sytem bug but an issue in your basic network setup. Something is broken so that the name "localhost" cannot be resloved correctly. For further analysis provide your /etc/hosts file. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
