After removing it and installing KDE3's KDM, logging into a KDE4 session does not work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. zypper up using Opensuse's KDE4 repository 2. restart computer 3. wait for KDM (does not appear) 4. replace KDE4 KDM by KDE3 KDM 5. login into KDE4 session Actual Results: of step 5: "Could not start kdeinit4. Check your installation."
