With the help of Google I figured out that you're still using a CRT (Iiyama
Vision Master Pro 451 A902MT). The logfile, which doesn't use any config file,
which you've attached, shows me that you've connected two monitors to the
graphics card.
1. Syncmaster (seems to be your Iiyama) connected via VGA (of course)
2. Samsung DFP connected via DVI-D
The Samsung seems to be used by default. Do you see the Xserver running on your
Samsung monitor? This would explain a lot!
Using 'Option "CrtcNumber" "0"' or 'Option "CrtcNumber" "1"' in xorg.conf
('Section "Device"') should help to make the Syncmaster the default. Or just
disconnect the Samsumg.
