http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=502573 Summary: Network drops connection Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kingdomtraveler@hotmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User I have narrowed this down to OS. My router and Broadband modem do not drop connection in any other system I use. The drop started after I upgraded the kernel to 2.6.27.21-0.1-pae. I had to do this upgrade so my ATI driver would work. I can bring my network connection back with: $ ifdown eth0 $ ifup eth0 My network adapter is VIA VT6102 (Rhine-II) However, it only stays for an hour or so before dropping again. Any help would be appreciated. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
