Using Kmines under KDE 4.2 from the Live CD I see the following effect:

When I start a new game and right(!)-click anywhere in the mine-field, the top
part of the mine-field shows severe graphical distortions. This is 100%
reproducible. Sometimes I also see distortions in other situations, but the
above scenario reproduces them reliably. Resizing the Kmines window removes the
distortions.

Once you are at it: The "Pause" button at the top of the window suffers from a
misplaced label. In the word "Pause" below that button, the "P" is partly
hidden behind the graphic for the button.
