http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=494238 Summary: Missing Dependency (?) 'kde4-konqueror-plugins' does not pull in 'kde4-konqueror' | OBS - KDE4:UNSTABLE Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: r.seete@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.8) Gecko/2009032600 SUSE/3.0.8-1.1.1 Firefox/3.0.8 After using the minimal option to install openSUSE 11.1, I've been installing KDE 4.3 Alpha directly rather than installing 4.1 and upgrading. When attempting to in stall the 'kde4-konquorer-plugins package', zypper does not pull in 'kde4-konqueror'. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Perform a minimal/server openSUSE 11.1 install 2. Add KDE4 Unstable + Qt OBS repositories 3. Attempt to install 'kde4-konqueror-plugins' without also installing kde4-konqueror Actual Results: Zypper pulls in 'kde4-konqueror-plugins-lang' but not 'kde4-konqueror' Expected Results: Zypper to include 'kde4-konqueror' This really is a corner case and I hope anybody who would install KDE4 with individual pieces rather than using the pattern would not be surprised by this. Still, unless the plugins package provides some wider functionality to KDE4 (it may, I really don't know), it probably makes sense to have a dependency on 'kde4-konqueror'. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
