As A normal user I run: # systemsettings --version Qt: 4.4.3 KDE: 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3) "release 75.2" System Settings: 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3) "release 75.2" Then select Advanced tab>>System>>Login Manager I see the following errors: Unable to create folder /etc/kde4/share/apps/kdm/themes Unable to create folder /etc/kde4/share/apps/kdm/faces A same issue with themes and faces folders, but on a different path, are reported here: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-redhat-users&m=121754649401521&w=2 The path there was /usr/share/apps/kdm/themes Apparently the path should have been: /usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=455623 path /usr/share/apps/kdm/themes If I quit systemsettings then run: # sudo mkdir -p /etc/kde4/share/apps/kdm/themes # sudo mkdir -p /etc/kde4/share/apps/kdm/faces # systemsettings The error goes away.
