The release did come (acroread-8.1.4-0.1.1 for openSUSE 11.1) I guess, but the
problem is not fixed. Here is what I saw with MozillaFirefox-3.0.7-1.1.6:
Clicking on http/PDF links in evolution started Firefox with the PDF being
loaded OK, clicking another link opened a new tab in Firefox and displayed the
PDF OK. Even after clicking a third link showed the third PDF just fine.
However when I closed the third tab, the remaining tabs would not display the
content any more. Probably because the acroread process died. According to ps
however, there is a very much older acroread process still running:
/usr/lib/Adobe/Reader8/Reader/intellinux/bin/acroread --display :0.0
-progressPipe 3 -exitPipe 4
