At least at shutdown the dbus service will be stopped ... IMHO all services
started by dbus should be signaled by dbus to stop. That is that all services
started by dbus should have a signal handler (maybe included within the glib
and/or dbus API) which is listen on dbus (or better its sockets). Or all those
services should stop if the dbus close its socket. Anything else is more than
a API design issue ... it is simply a bug.
And the fix really helps see bug #486710
