https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=487080 Summary: Evolution should not open multiple windows if the users launch it multiple times Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Alpha 0 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Evolution AssignedTo: bnc-team-evolution@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alberto.passalacqua@tin.it QAContact: lakhil@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; it; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009022800 SUSE/3.0.7-1.1.6 Firefox/3.0.7 Evolution opens a new window everytime the user clicks on the icon to run it. This leads have more windows of evolution, which is not the expected behaviour, and is in contraddiction also with Evolution's design, which assumes the users selects the evolution view using the internal buttons (mail, calendar and so on...). Evolution should simply bring up the existing window. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on Evolution icon in the menu 2. Click again on the Evolution icon in the menu 2. Click again on the Evolution icon in the menu (repeat as many time as you want :-)) Actual Results: A number of Evolution windows equal to the number of times you clicked on the Evolution icon is opened in addition to the originally opened Evolution windows. Expected Results: Only one Evolution window should be open, and if the user tries to restart Evolution, that window should be showed. Evolution should check if its GUI process is running, and not open another window, but simply bring the existing one to the user's attention. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
