Typo, I did before
zypper up ...
not
zypper in ...
Now, I deleted everything. There a lot of odd behaviour here:
1. zypper in OpenOffice_org tried to install the old version instead of new,
despite it is available
2. I run SM then and installed OO_org, calc module was included, but writer was
excluded, odd
3. Ok, I installed manually writer too
4. verification --> no single error
5. launch --> it works
6. tries to install more packages so the final set is identical after 3.0
update to 3.0.1 and in 3.0.1 fresh install
7. verification --> errors, but other than before
8. launch --> still works
So, concluding:
* there is something wrong with zypper and OOo, it should install the latest
version, not the oldest, or in other words -- the behaviour of SM and zypper
should be the same, currently it is not, I don't know it if is only OOo, or
problem in general, I'll check
* there is much more files when updating from minimal set, than when installing
new Ooo
* there is much more dependent-packages but non-OOo installed/updated on
install than on update, the trigger-package is OpenOffice-filters (there is
about 150MB new software to install just because of OOO-filters)
* despite OOo is 64-bit, the non-OOO packages that are marked as dependencies
are 32bit -- like libicu, libidl, libneon27, orbit2, dbus-1-glib, this is
wrong, if anything, those should be 64-bit packages
The installed set:
OpenOffice_org-3.0.1.3-1.1
OpenOffice_org-base-3.0.1.3-1.1
OpenOffice_org-branding-upstream-3.0.0.9-1.16
OpenOffice_org-calc-3.0.1.3-1.1
OpenOffice_org-draw-3.0.1.3-1.1
OpenOffice_org-filters-3.0.1.3-1.1
OpenOffice_org-icon-themes-3.0.1.3-2.1
OpenOffice_org-impress-3.0.1.3-1.1
OpenOffice_org-kde-3.0.1.3-1.1
OpenOffice_org-l10n-en-US-3.0.1.3-3.1
OpenOffice_org-libs-core-3.0.0.9-1.9
OpenOffice_org-libs-extern-3.0.0.9-1.14
OpenOffice_org-libs-gui-3.0.0.9-1.10
OpenOffice_org-math-3.0.1.3-1.1
OpenOffice_org-ure-3.0.0.9-2.6
OpenOffice_org-writer-3.0.1.3-1.1
So... installing works (but not without flaws), but updating from 3.0 is buggy
-- the report is still valid.
