I had these problems solved with Mesa packages from X11:/XOrg repository. However, since I updated the kernel to 2.6.27.19-3.2-default the system freezes when I try enable desktop effects or playing AssaultCube. I have tried both Mesa 7.2-10.1 and 7.3-2.4, but none make my video work fine! I have tried the newest version (7.4-53.1) of xorg-x11-driver-video package, but I could only boot the system in text mode, then I switched back for the 7.4-19.4 version of xorg-x11-driver-video. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: For Kwin desktop effects: 1. Run sax2 and enable 3D acceleration. 2. Restart X server and try enable desktop effects. For AssaltCube: 1. Run sax2 and enable 3D acceleration. 2. Try run AssaultCube. Actual Results: Enabling Kwin desktop effects makes the system crash. Trying to play AssaultCube also makes the system crash. In both cases, the system can only be turned off by holding pressed the power button for a few seconds. Expected Results: The desktop effects, as desktop cube, should work fine when 3D acceleration is enabled. I should also play AssaultCube when 3D acceleration is enabled. I have added 'Option "EXANoComposite"' and 'Option "AccelMethod" "EXA"' to my xorg.conf, at the "Device" section, but none helped. I have also tried 'Option "AccelMethod" "XAA"' instead 'Option "AccelMethod" "EXA"'. Please, help me!
