Four entries? This looks more like there is a third party which is writing
to /var/run/utmp ... please make sure that kdm does not use its own builtin
sessreg (UseSessReg=false within /usr/share/kde4/config/kdm/kdmrc) then I'd
like to know if you have modified something within the kdm configuration by
e.g. using the genkdmconf utility. Beside this is there any other change
done on your system ... like installing third party packages?
