https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=472638 Summary: Incorrect dependency found for compiz-kde4 and kde4-knewsticker during upgrade to KDE 4.2 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: p79kem2@yahoo.ca QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.2; Linux) KHTML/4.2.0 (like Gecko) SUSE When I attempted a One-button upgrade of openSUSE 11.1 (x86_64), YAST complained that it could not resolve the dependency of libplasma.so.2()(64bit) for compiz-kde4 and kde-knewsticker. The missing library does not appear in kdebase4-workspace in KDE 4.2. A quick search shows that libplasma.so.3 was installed during the upgrade to KDE 4.2. The library libplasma.so.3 can be found in libkde4. rpm -q --whatprovides /usr/lib64/libplasma.so.3 libkde4-4.2.0-81.1 PS. Upgrade was successful when I choose not to install compiz-kde4 and kde-knewsticker. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Use KDE4-DEFAULT.ymp to upgrade to KDE 4.2 2. 3. Actual Results: see attached conficts.txt file -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
